Absolutely Fabulous by D&A: The Muses with MOO Sunglasses

Lempicka is best known for her Art Deco-styled portraits. Sexy, bedroom-eyed women in stylish dress are rendered in haunting poses. Perhaps it was her own dramatic life mirrored in her art. Famous for her libido, she was bisexual, and her affairs with both men and women were carried out in ways that were scandalous at the time. She often used formal and narrative elements in her portraits and nude studies to produce overpowering effects of desire and seduction
With slim sable brushes, Frida Kahlo painstakingly rendered her bold unibrow and mustache in dozens of self-portraits.Frida, always her own favorite model, was not about preserving youthful beauty so much as identifying herself with Mexico, her beloved homeland. Frida, the person and her art, defy easy definition. Rather, they lend themselves to ambiguous description. Often volatile and obsessive, Frida was alternately hopeful and despairing.
The painting Girl with a Pearl Earring is one of Dutch painter Johannes Vermeer's masterworks and, as the name implies, uses a pearl earring for a focal point. Today the painting is kept in the Mauritshuis gallery in The Hague. It is sometimes referred to as "the Mona Lisa of the North" or "the Dutch Mona Lisa".She is a light in the dark, a staggering optical fact. She floats disconnected from everything around her, and disconnects you, too: it is a coup de foudre, a very powerful moment almost of shock. Her presence as she looks back at us is incredible. It is one of the most captivating paintings in the world.
The Mona Lisa is a half-length portrait of a woman by the Italian artist Leonardo da Vinci, which has been acclaimed as "the best known, the most visited, the most written about, the most sung about, the most parodied work of art in the world." The ambiguity of the subject's expression, frequently described as enigmatic, the monumentality of the composition, the subtle modeling of forms and the atmospheric illusionism were novel qualities that have contributed to the continuing fascination and study of the work.

In this life we should never forget that we can be whomever we want to be and have the life we long for whenever we want with just a little effort. We can be a socialite and a brilliant-sexual character as Tamara de Lempicka, we can be the sexy women from her paintings, we can be a colorful-obsessive Frida, sensual as the Girl with pearl earring or simply enigmatic as Mona Lisa. We choose how and whom we want to be. It's just a matter of time to decide what fits us best.

For the moment we couldn't choose just one character, but at least we know that we want to be a The Muses with MOO Sunglasses.

We met MOO Piyasombatkul during the last Paris Fashion Week and we simply fell in love with her and her MOO EYEWEAR collection. It's absolutely splashy! And you absolutely have to wear one of her sunglasses. You can buy it HERE.

Absolutely Fabulous by D&A: WE LOVE...

We first discovered Starbucks when we were reading The Devil wears Prada. We had a crush for Starbucks back then...and we still got it now. Yes! Americans know how to create powerful brands and we admit that Starbucks is 90% marketing and 10% coffee, but if we don't have that 10% every day we don't feel the same. It's cool! It's cool to have Starbucks in Bucharest, it's cool in Paris, it's cool in NY, London, Barcelona...It's cool for us cause we love it.

We love sunglasses! More than half of our photos are taken with glasses on. You can be whatever you want if you have the right pair of glasses. Our top 10 sunglasses is:
1. Ray-Ban Aviator
2. A-morir Lorna
3. Linda Farrow python skin sunglasses

5. Moo Piyasombatkul ALL THE FRAMES
6. Ksubi Bellatrix Animal Print model
7. Ray-Ban Wayfarer

We love books cause they smell good, they have a special touch and they make our imagination grow every time. Because every time we feel alone, we know that books are there waiting for us. Our top 10 books is:
1. Grace A Memoir by Grace Coddington (Why: because you'll find out what modesty is and who are the great people in life.)
2. An extraordinary theory of Objects by Stephanie Lacava ( Why: because imagination has no limit, but reality hasn't either.)
3. Skinny Bitch by Rory Freedman and Kim Barnouin (Why: because we want to have fun and learn something about what we eat nowadays.)
4. Complete Prose by Woody Allen ( Why: because it's hilarious and he's humor is so so unique. And you can skip what you don't like and read only what you want.)
5. Summer at Tiffany by Marjorie Hart (Why: Because every book that has Tiffany on its title it has to be good. No...in fact because the action takes place in the 40's and the story is so nice and sweet. You are gonna love it.)
6. D.V by Diane Vreeland (Why: Because you are gonna learn so much more about her and you are gonna discover yourself through her words )
7. The Philosophy of Andy Warhol (Why: As himself Warhol use to say "I never think that people die. They just go to department stores." Andy is not dead! You'll find him! So read the book.)
8. Atlas Cloud by David Mitchell (Why: Because your life amounts to no more than one drop in a limitless ocean. Yet what is any ocean, but a multitude of drops! If you saw the movie we are sure that you remember this line. But you have to read the book too.)
9. Essays in Love by Alain de Botton (Why: To understand once and for all that men and women are so f**king different and to see the radiography of relationships!! You are gonna love this book.)
10. The bad girl by Mario Vargas Llosa (Why: Because sometimes you should know how to be a bad girl! Bad girls always do it better, right?! But read the book and see how Llosa tells the story!)
And it's true love. Like that Carrie's quote "I'm looking for love. Real love. Ridiculous, unconvenient, consuming, can't-live-without-each-other love." WE FOUND THAT LOVE!!! The lucky bastard it's MR (not Big), but iPhone. Absolutely Fabulous by D&A: Break the rules

Learn the rules and break them

In 2012 we had plenty of rules. More sleep. More coffee. More kissing. More travelling. More books. More fun. More love.

We always thought that more si more, but it comes a time when you have to learn that less could be just enough. And when we say less we talk about less expectations.

So girls, starting this year we break our own rules and simplify everything!

They say it's better like this, so we have decided to try it :)

Lots of 2013 kisses,

Brunette: Ermanno Scervino Coat, Marc Jacobs shorts, Zara gloves, Vintage Top, Marni socks, Nine West Boots
